William Depietri has spent most of his life in Massachusetts’ Metro west area. He currently resides in Southborough with his wife and four children. He started his career working during high school and summers for his uncles and grandfather doing landscaping and construction. Mr. Depietri was drawn to the development/construction field through his father, who worked for Perini Corporation. After working in Kuwait and Israel for Perini Corporation, he returned to the states and joined the family development business. In 1987 Mr. Depietri began his independent journey with a philosophy to learn one aspect of the business, master it and always continue to learn something new. His company, JBJ Construction began with tenant fit up work, then expanded to single family homes, townhouse condominium units, retail centers, commercial buildings and site work. Each endeavor was educational and rewarding. By 1997 Mr. Depietri while searching for a new challenge, participated in a partnership in Clock Tower Place, located in Maynard, Massachusetts. This property is a 100 year old mill that was converted to the Digital Equipment corporate offices in the 70’s and 80’s which consisted of 27 buildings and approximately $1.1 million SF. The $40 million dollar project took 5 years to complete. In 1998 Mr. Depietri founded and continues to operate Capital Group Properties. The function of this company is to seek out land for development, complete the permitting process, oversee the construction, and manage the finished product. Capital Group serves as a management company for the commercial, retail, and residential portfolio. While the independence of working alone has worked very well for Mr. Depietri, he has partnered with others on several projects and enjoys sharing success with others. To date Mr. Depietri has been involved in the construction of over 550 single family homes, 250 condo units, 10 retail centers, and 11 commercial buildings. His portfolio currently consists of over one million SF of commercial and retail space. Mr. Depietri is a contributor to many local charities; he is a firm believer that it is important to give back to the community. He takes great pride in his developments and their positive impact on the local economy and neighborhoods.
